Our Vessel

Our sport fishing boat is none other than the quintessential Conch 27. Everything from the huge livewell and exceptional pump system to keep them circulating, to the 35 rod holders mounted on her, to the huge style fish box was laid out and built to make the ultimate Florida Keys charter fishing boat. We can hold an amazing amount of live bait which can be very important when fishing in Key West. Being aboard a center console you can also fish from any spot on the boat and we have an amazing amount of fishing room being able to fight a fish no matter what direction they go.

The Looney Tunes is powered by brand new twin Suzuki outboard engines to get you to the fishing grounds fast with no diesel fumes. Known for her exceptionally comfortable and dry ride, the Conch 27 is the perfect boat for you and your family to experience a Florida Keys fishing charter whether you’re a seasoned pro or a family of first time fisherman.

History

Over 30 years ago, Edey & Duff, a Massachusetts sailboat builder, brought together a group of professional fishing guides from Key West, FL and a world-renowned naval architect to design the ultimate offshore, outboard fishing boat. Their objective was to design a boat that had great seakeeping abilities, while still maintaining stability. There had to be ample livewell and fish box capacities, and the boat needed to be built incredibly strong in order to withstand the toll of consistent commercial demands. This collaboration resulted in the creation of the original Conch 27 introduced in the late 1980’s which has become legendary. A fishing boat built exclusively for serious anglers, her traditional curved and crowned transom, broken shear-line tumblehome sides, and sharp entry result in a classic beauty and legendary ride.

Kenny Harris was the major influence in many of the innovations David Davington designed into the boat such as advocating for low gunnels in the stern to make it easier o reach the fish. Kenny was also influential in wanting an engine shroud to cut down sound, and for use as a cut bait table – and he was also influential for the large baitwell in the deck.
