Chew Out Loud Lemon Butter Fish

Have you been looking for an easy fish recipe? We are sharing a delicious recipe from Chew Out Loud with some added details and a couple of modifications.

Total Cook Time: 20 minutes  Servings: 4

Utensils:

  • Large cooking skillet
  • Spatula

Ingredients:

  • Four Fish Fillets
  • Juice From 1 Medium Sized Lemon. Using Fresh Lemon Juice Would Be Ideal.
  • 4 Tablespoons of Irish KerryGold Melted Butter or Other Salted Butter. Irish KerryGold Butter is Captain Rob’s Favorite.
  • 1 Teaspoon of Garlic Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon of Paprika
  • If You Like Spicy: 1 Teaspoon of Cayenne Pepper
  • 1 Teaspoon of Kosher Salt
  • 3 Tablespoons of Avocado Oil or Olive oil. Avocado oil has a higher smoke point.
  • Chopped Basil. Fresh Basil Isn’t Available Basil Spice Can Be Used.

Directions:

  1. Rinse and then pat dry your fish with paper towels.
  2. In a bowl, mix melted butter, salt and lemon juice.
  3. In a separate bowl or container mix all the spices together.
  4. Apply spices to each side of the fish.
  5. Set your pan on medium high heat until the oil is hot.
  6. Add two fish fillets to the pan and drizzle some of the lemon butter sauce on the fish. Don’t use all of the lemon butter sauce so you can pour it on the fish later.
  7. Cook each side until the fish becomes opaque and flakes easily with a fork. It should be able to flake easily. Insert the fork into the center of the fish and gently twist. If it flakes easily without resistance, the fish is done.
  8. Repeat these steps with the other two fish fillets.
  9. When serving sprinkle chopped basil or bottled dry basil on top and drizzle the rest of the lemon sauce on top of the fish fillets.
